Radio Candy Radio with my early musical influences. The story is the same, the music is different. As a kid growing up in Cleveland, New York, our big 2 rock station being WOUR out of Utica, New York, taught me about playing DEEP CUTS… and WAQX out of Syracuse. WAQX had to me an incredibly unique LOCAL music show called “Soudcheck with Dave Fresina”. It was here that my “taste and style” of music was fertilized. I heard many a great sounding LOCAL unsigned, indie band and I knew…I heard a sound, tone that had been reverberating about my head for years. I lived in the Syracuse area in what I call the “Magic Age Of Bright Lights (hat tip to Dana & Carl!) And Local Music!” So many differing styles, differing tones, differing writing styles. Sorry if you couldn’t be a part of the goings on then. Maybe, just maybe, with the stars shining on us there will be Bright Lights (another hat tip to @Dana Bonn & @Carl Carfarelli) again!
