I punished myself today. After leaving the doctor today, I made an attempt to listen to the radio in my car. And, yes it was punishment! WOW! Inside jokes from condescending DJ’s. A former TV celeb who reads all these smart platitudes and playing, what to me, sounded like OLDIES! Some station with no DJ’s mixing in some OK songs with today’s pablum and then a freaking LONG BLOCK of commercials. Country radio sounded like Pop Radio, I just couldn’t tell that I had switched stations. The news filled with hatred, conjecture, opinion, and some facts! DUDE! Not the kind of radio I grew up doing...it IS like the radio I left several years ago to take a job in retail! Cannot, will not, say all radio is this way, but what I tried to listen to...YIKES! Just an opinion from someone who hasn’t partaken in a LONG while! SO VERY GLAD I HAVE MY OWN GIG ON MY OWN STREAM! SO! VERY! GLAD!
